Love in action for the benefit of God’s people

First Lutheran Church of the Reformation is blessed with many types of musical expression, including choir, band, bell choir, and organ.

Choir
A close–knit group of volunteer singers who care for one another and the congregation, the choir leads the assembly in song each Sunday and rehearses Wednesday evenings. Psalms, Gospel acclamations, hymns, liturgical music, and anthems comprise our repertoire. Singers from grade 8 to adult are welcome: we are saving a seat for you.

Band
The band supports the assembly’s singing each Sunday by playing arrangements of the Psalm, Gospel acclamation, and hymns, plus frequent special instrumental features. Though we perform at a semi-professional level, any young player with a few years’ private study is welcome, as are those considering dusting off that old instrument after a long break. We are looking especially for a drummer and a guitarist. Rehearsals are Thursdays.

Bell Choir
Volunteer director Cindy Pavano makes bell choir easy and fun for all ages, from primary grades to grandparents. A seasonal group, the bells play the prelude Sundays from October through December, and from March through May. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings before worship.

Organ
Organ2
We are the proud stewards of a 1968 Casavant pipe organ, only the second organ to be installed here. With over 2,000 pipes, this instrument can raise the roof, and lift our singing to the heavens. All are encouraged to ask for a tour; lessons can easily be arranged as well. The A. Thompson–Allen Co. have been our organ curators for nearly eighty years.
